TiFf Proud to Announce Exclusive Media Partnership with Creative Loafing!

We are so excited to announce that Creative Loafing Tampa has signed on as our exclusive media sponsor for our first annual festival! Following talks between our Festival Director, William Glenn, and David Warner, CL’s Editor, the widely read publication behind such popular events as Best of the Bay, Gasp!, and the Creative Loafing Beerfest has extended the TiFf team their support and friendship.  As part of this sponsorship, CL Tampa has committed to providing our festival with the critic coverage so necessary for fringe festivals (especially young, up and coming festivals) to survive.  By taking this stance and breaking the unspoken tradition of many local publications in not generally providing critical coverage of events unless they are running for some minimum period (often four weeks), Creative Loafing may even encourage some of the other area publications to jump on board and cover the festival as well!

In addition to increased media coverage, the fantastic people at CL Tampa will be printing our programs and including them in May issues of CL, and allowing us to use their gorgeous CL Space as our Artist Bar & VIP Lounge! This beautiful, versatile space will house our VIP parties, panel discussions, and other special events during the course of the festival!  We’re working hard to put together an exciting program of special events that will provide community engagement, education, and added value to the overall festival experience!  The full program of Festival Events will be announced soon. Boasting a roomy stage, lovely exposed brick walls, and an open, airy feel, CL Space will give our artists (and guests) a fantastic venue in which to mingle, relax, and meet local audience members and fellow artists alike.
