Applications for the 2nd annual Tampa International Fringe Festival are now OPEN!
If you think you’re Fringe material, here’s what you do:
To participate in TIFF, simply fill out the application below by the deadline of DECEMBER 8th 2017, and then pay the non-refundable $25 application ($35 after 5pm Nov 15th) fee via Paypal below that.
On December 11th 2017, we will host a live drawing from which we will pull the names for the second TIFF (May 03-12). We will pull 28-30 shows for the festival (this varies because of run times). The remaining names will be drawn and placed on a waitlist in order, and should one of the selected shows drop out for any reason, waitlisted names will be taken from there.
What you get from US:
100% of the box office!
A chance to experiment and try something new.
Six performances in a venue seating between 40-100 people, with lighting, PA, technician, and 2 hours of tech time.
Your show in the Fringe Guide, and mentioned via social media pushes on Facebook & Twitter.
Possible billeting for out-of-towners.
To hang out in Florida! In the sun. There’s a water park, and Busch Gardens, you know…last year we had the BEST beach day after the festival, and we will do so again!
If you are continuing to another Fringe after this, it’s a great way to develop and perfect a brand new work in front of a welcoming audience.
Parties!!! It’s Florida. We like to party, what can we say?
What YOU do:
Apply and pay the non-refundable application fee. From now until 5pm November 15th, we have an early-bird rate of $25 as incentive for all you procrastinators (we know who you are!), and then the app fee will be $35. When you are selected, you have four days (5pm Dec 18th) to pay the $275 registration fee. (Most festivals are Much more expensive! This is less than $50 per show.)
Get a show together. MAX of 60 minutes. It can be just you, or a bunch of folks. You may have a show already in the can, or you may be making up a title and then writing a show when you get in. But you need a show, by tech time!
If you didn’t write/devise/create this show yourself (which we highly encourage), GET THE RIGHTS. We will be in no way liable for legal ramifications here.
Get people to come to your show! You keep 100% of the box office proceeds, so the more people you get to come, the more money you can put in your pocket, and the more people will know about Fringe, the more people will go see other shows too, and the cycle continues…
